All of my skills are self-taught through on-the-job learning and self-motivated study.

As a designer I have needed to adapt to many different situations and this has frequently meant learning new skills quickly in the middle of projects so that a project gets completed on time and on budget.

Currently Learning and Improving

I am currently learning how to code in React, and familiarising myself with Visual Studio Code and Storybook. I am doing this to improve my UI/UX skills to better understand how developers translate designs to code.

I am also refreshing my UX skills through a Google certified online course. And I am learning Swedish!

Graphic Design

I have been a graphic designer for 10 years. Most of my recent work has centered around the e-sports industry. My work includes:

Logos for e-sports teams
Branding for e-sports tournaments
Social media campaigns
Website assets i.e. icons, medals

UI Design

I used my skills as a graphic designer to branch out into web design 8 years ago. My work includes:

Working with the Esportal development team to launch several iterations of esportal.com
In-house website projects
Designing and developing WordPress websites for clients.

UX Design

I have recently become interested in the user research side of design. I’m interested to learn more about how projects begin and getting into the human details of why and how a user would interact with a product. You can find some of my own learning studies here.
